Our Donation Success

Since opening in April of 2021, we have been helping area businesses and other non profits with donations and support. We are sew happy to be able to donate to these deserving non-profit organizations thanks to you, our customers!

Sew What! is sew happy to make a donation to a local non-profit: E. John Gavras Center!

PLAY SPACE
Sew What! donated to the Auburn Play Space to help create activities for their visitors.

MATTHEW HOUSE
A donation was made to the Matthew House of Auburn, NY in hopes to help provide comfort and care for their residents with terminal illnesses.

UKRAINE
Sew What! donated to the St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church for the Humanitarian Relief Fund for Ukraine.

BOOKER T. WASHINGTON COMMUNITY CENTER
Our donation to the Booker T. Washington Community Center was used to help give the best experience possible to the children enrolled in their programs.

CAYUGA COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Our donation to the Cayuga County Habitat for Humanity helps provide a hand-up to hard working, low income families looking to achieve the dream of home ownership.

CHAPEL HOUSE
Our donation to the Chapel House helped provide homeless services on average to over 350 individuals annually.

SCAT VAN
SCAT VAN, a transportation project for Cayuga County (and our neighbors at Willard Chapel!) received a donation from Sew What! used to help continue their agency provide transportation to the elderly and disabled.

PERFORM FOR PURPOSE INC.
We paid it forward to Perform for Purpose Inc. to help with music instructions and performances for the students involved.

AUBURN HUNGER TASK FORCE, INC.
A donation to the Auburn Hunger Task Force was used to provide nutritious meals to individuals and families in our community.

SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE
A donation including throw pillows, quilts and crocheted blankets were given to Sleep in Heavenly Peace; a non profit organization that builds and delivers beds to children in need.

WESLEY CLYMER ART CAMP
Our first pay it forward donation was used as a scholarship for the Wesley Clymer Art Camp at the Schweinfurth Art Center.

AREA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Over 300+ warm hats, scarves and mittens were donated to various local elementary schools with the help of local volunteers.

CROUSE HOSPTIAL
Isolette covers were donated to the nicu unit at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

OPERATION CHRISTAMS CHILD SHOEBOX MINISTRY
Thanks to local donations, various children items were donated to Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry.

INTERNATIONAL SEAFARERS CENTER
Warm hats and and scarves were donated to the International Seafarers Center; the oldest and largest charter knitting program in the United States!

PROJECT LINUS
Materials donated to the nonprofit organization Project Linus were used to make patient quilts for the Gosliano Chrildren’s Hospital.

AUBURN NURSING HOME
Lap quilts and handmade bags to hang on walkers were donated to the Auburn Nursing Home.

BLUEFIELD MANOR
A plethora of knitting, sewing and crochet needles were donated to the Bluefield Manor Senior Housing Community.

HILLSIDE CHILDREN'S CENTER
Sew What! was able to donate an array of yarns of all sizes and colors to the Hillside Children’s Center in Auburn, NY.

NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS
A selection of yarn in all sizes and colors were donated to NAMI: The National Alliance on Mental Illness.

KNITTED KNOCKERS
Materials from Sew What! were donated to Knitted Knockers to provide comfortable knit prosthetics for breast cancer survivors.
